Inspections must follow Maryland lead laws for occupancy compliance
Lead paint exposure is a serious health risk—especially for children and pregnant women. Maryland law mandates lead testing for rental units built before 1978. Our lead inspections include exterior and interior checks as well as dust wipe sampling, all performed to meet state standards. We’ll help ensure your property is safe, compliant, and ready for occupancy.
Our process follows the State of Maryland’s full-risk reduction guidelines and includes interior/exterior inspections and lab-certified dust wipe sampling.
Before we can schedule, you’ll need a 7-digit MDE-issued tracking number tied to your property.
We visually inspect all exterior surfaces, including:

Roughly 5 business days from when the lab receives the samples.
No. Only the room that failed needs to be re-cleaned and retested.
You have 30 days to correct the issues and schedule a re-inspection. After that, a full new inspection is required.
We do not offer full lead-free certifications due to low demand and strict MDE requirements. Homes built after 1978 may qualify but must go through MDE-approved labs for verification.
